Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 are the pillars of the full-size pickup truck segment, taking up more than their fair portion of sales each and every year. Both trucks are available with new and exciting additions for model year 2019, but which one comes out on top in a side-by-side comparison? We matched the 2019 F-150 XL against the 2019 Silverado 1500 WT, and the results were pretty eye-opening.

While these two stalwarts of the full-size pickup truck segment are similar in a variety of ways, the new 2019 Ford F-150 comes out ahead in the areas that matter the most to our Florida customers. With advantages in both horsepower and efficiency, F-150 is able to set itself apart from Silverado 1500 when it comes to performance. And while both trucks are able to seat 6 comfortably, F-150 models offer more shoulder room and cargo capacity than Silverado 1500. it's a close battle, but we think the 2019 Ford F-150 takes the title in this side-by-side comparison.
